Grant Thornton commissioned The Economist Intelligence Unit to survey more than 450 UK executives on their business models, if/how they have changed and if/how they are planning to adapt over the next 18 months.

It seems that while some companies have been innovating to take advantage of post-recession opportunities, many are still battening down the hatches while others are pushing the panic button.

The chart shows which approaches are positive and which negative, and looks at which types are best positioned to deliver the goods in the next 18 months.
