We are delighted to announce that ASOS are the winners of the Grant Thornton Mid-Cap Business of the Year award. Finalists for this category had to demonstrate exceptional financial returns, strong growth and innovation strategies, and market leadership in their sector. Nick Robertson, CEO of ASOS joined us at the National Business Awards final in London on Tuesday 10th November to collect their award.
“We wish ASOS many congratulations on winning the Grant Thornton Mid Cap Business of the Year award. ASOS are a well deserved winner of this category award for bold implementation of an innovative strategy, for increasing their market share, and for delivering more than double the growth of the overall online market.” says David Maxwell, Partner, Grant Thornton
Over 1200 business leaders and guests including keynote speaker Alistair Darling, The Chancellor of the Exchequer, attended the National Business Awards, to celebrate the success of the UK’s most innovative, ethical and resilient businesses in 2009.
“Grant Thornton is proud to sponsor the National Business Awards in their recognition of excellence through innovation, resilience and enthusiasm across the UK. All entrants have had to work through one of the toughest recessions in modern times and have come out as champions. We were particularly impressed with the calibre of the entries for this new category. The companies have grown into successful businesses and this has been down to sheer hard work and determination. Britain needs more dynamic companies like this to make the economy grow further,“says Scott Barnes, CEO at Grant Thornton.
We would also like to congratulate the other finalists for our award for their achievement in reaching the final:
